Ask a QuestionThe opening angle is how far the door swings open from the closed position. 110° is standard for most kitchens and wardrobes. 135° suits corner cabinets and deep storage where wider access helps. 165° allows the door to swing back almost flat against the cabinet side — ideal for wall kitchen units and maximum clearance situations. All three have the same soft-close mechanism and are available in the same three finishes.
These refer to the overlay configuration — how much the door overlaps the cabinet frame. 0° (Full Overlay) means the door completely covers the cabinet frame — the frame is not visible when the door is closed, most common in frameless modular furniture. 8° (Half Overlay) means the door covers approximately half the frame face — used where two doors share a central partition. 15° (Inset) means the door sits fully recessed inside the cabinet opening, face flush with the frame — used in face-frame cabinets. Choose based on your cabinet construction, not personal preference.
A soft-close hinge has a built-in hydraulic damper that activates in the final 15° of door closure. It absorbs the kinetic energy of the closing door, preventing slamming and gently pulling the door shut. This protects the hinge, the door, and the cabinet frame from repeated impact stress — significantly extending the life of all three. The Alaska series has this damper built directly into the hinge arm; no separate add-on is needed.
Installation requires a 35mm Forstner bit drill. (1) Drill a 35mm cup hole in the door panel at 12.5mm depth. (2) Press the hinge cup into the hole and secure with screws. (3) Mount the mounting plate to the cabinet frame at the correct position based on your overlay type. (4) Clip the hinge arm onto the mounting plate and tighten. (5) Use the 3D adjustment screws to fine-tune height, depth, and lateral position until the door closes perfectly.
Alaska hinges are designed for door panels between 16mm and 22mm thick — which covers all standard 18mm and 19mm modular furniture board thicknesses used in India. For doors thinner than 16mm or thicker than 22mm, please contact us for specific guidance.
Yes. All Alaska hinges are 3D adjustable after installation without removing the hinge. You can adjust height (up/down), depth (in/out), and lateral position (left/right) using the adjustment screws on the mounting plate. This allows you to perfect the door alignment even after the cabinet is fully assembled.
The Denver 45 has a rated load capacity of 45 kg per pair (one pair = two runners, one on each side of the drawer). This makes it suitable for heavy kitchen drawers, deep storage, filing drawers, and even light commercial or tool storage applications.
The runner size should match the internal depth of the cabinet (not the drawer depth). As a rule, the runner length should equal the cabinet depth. For example, if your cabinet is 450mm deep, use 450mm runners. Available sizes range from 250mm to 750mm in 50mm increments: 250, 300, 350, 400, 450, 500, 550, 600, 650, 700, 750mm.
Denver 45 runners require 12.5mm clearance on each side — meaning the drawer box should be 25mm narrower than the internal cabinet width. For example, if the cabinet interior is 500mm wide, the drawer should be 475mm wide.
Denver runners are sold in pairs — one pair contains two runners (left and right). All prices listed on this website are per pair. You need one pair per drawer.
Denver 45 runners are available in two finishes: Zinc (electroplated silver) and Black (matte powder coat). Both finishes provide corrosion resistance suitable for kitchen and humid environments. Choose based on the visible hardware in your furniture — matching the runner finish to your hinge finish creates a cohesive look.
