Overlay Types

All Alaska hinges are available in three overlay configurations. Choose based on your cabinet construction — the overlay type determines how much the door covers the cabinet frame.

DOOR FRAME
0°Full Overlay

Door completely covers the cabinet frame face. The frame is not visible at all when the door is closed. Most common in frameless modular furniture.

DOOR FRAME
8°Half Overlay

Door overlaps half of the cabinet frame face by approximately 8mm. Most common configuration for standard modular furniture.

DOOR FRAME
15°Inset

Door sits fully recessed inside the cabinet opening, face flush with the frame. Used in face-frame cabinets where the frame remains visible around the door.
